i'm using adobe livecycle create documents on server side.

during development, i'm using adobe livecycle designer create new pdf template. when design template, utilize "times new roman" font, if generate pdf server , check pdf properties, see used fonts "timesnewromanpsmt" , "timesnewromanps-boldmt".

i've not found explanation of behavior, please can explain me why happen?

the fonts beingness substituted when form rendered on server side. happens when fonts have not been embedded template using livecycle designer. if server unable find font, substitutes 1 thinks closer 1 using.

you can navigate file > form properties > save options , enable "embed fonts". please note result in increment in form template size.
