Android, sideloading applications and keep them up to date via Google Play -

my company give android device grouping of our selected customers.

doing that, provide users our mobile app. app on google play, avoid users downloading , installing themselves. prefer give device ready, app installed.

we found several ways manually install apk on phone without having login market. seems doing that, user not able update app via google play, app not recognized installed.

any idea?

as per jan 2015, appears impossible. here response got google play developer support:

side-loaded apps not update via play store. if app update, need uninstall app on phone , reinstall app via play store.

i wonder if found way around this?
