i trying set custom domain app hosted on heroku. domain registered @ godaddy. followed instructions on heroku , activated forwarding on godaddy , changed cname www myapp.herokuapp.com. tried domain forwarding masking setting on godaddy didn't work. switched plain domain forwarding when come in domain mydomain.com redirects myapp.herokuapp.com remains in browser. not want. want utilize mydomain.com. there no proper instructions on how it. didn't mess ip addresses because heroku discourages this. proper , updated way it? maybe domain registrar preferable godaddy , has improve back upwards heroku custom domains?

you don't want set forwarding, need create cname record on godaddy points heroku app.
