Solr using document age combined with weighting factor to boost score? -

this bit of weird 1 , i'm not sure solr can it. have collection of document differing sources time sensitive , evergreen. i'd lie able give user results contain both. right i'm bosting score of newer documents describe here means evergreen docs don't show much i'd like.

i'd able include factor in boost modifies according class of document. in other words time sensitive docs 1 boost value based on age , evergreen ones different boost or none @ all.

is there way tell solr not apply time boost docs?

why don't index evergreen document index-time document-level boost? then, if match @ all, have boost combined query time boost.

you can apply boost in update format (xml or json), dataimporthandler $docboost or in requestupdateprocessor if there specific type check evergreen.
