i working on winrt xaml application, in main page have big images. when launch aplication shows blank screen while in between splash screen , main screen. solution this? think same issue in phonegap showing white screen after splash screen - ios in winrt in case.

this sounds experienced in past when set page background image. can take little while image loaded , displayed on page, , hence end fraction of sec of unstyled page. what's going on here? if so, seek reducing size / quality of image see if makes difference. if does, work starting seek find acceptable compromise between image quality , file size.
