i have requirement need archive content item after particular period should able access archived item anytime?

also want know alfresco's content archiving strategy out of box & how can utilize it?

finally, after googling, can content archiving in alfresco depends upon stores & can achieved using 2 ways:common & dedicated.

if there no specific need create dedicated archival store, archiving can implemented in same contentstore(say workspace:\\spacestore...) using aspect such effectivity aspect or custom aspect, adding can tell scheme content in context eligible archival in same store(contentstore) , using rules/actions, content can moved or copied in space of same contentstore , permissions can updated (as & when needed).

if there need create dedicated archival store in big repositories or compliance based systems, new content store can added using http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/content_store_selector , using cm:storeselector aspect , setting cm:storename property, content can moved/copied between stores , permissions managed.
