mysql - Can I kill "repair by keycache"? -

i'm attempting add together index on new field have added myisam table consisting of 8.5 1000000 rows. query went 'repair sorting' 'repair keycache', seems due running out of disk space during sorting. understand keycache repair not , take long time - far it's ran 1.5 hours.

what happen if killed query? harm table (and database)? not kill query , myisamchk repair?

i have backup of table , database, save time if restore , seek adding index 1 time again presuming caused disk space?

i'd appreciate help.
