ios - Update NSFetchedResultsController fetch request predicate, refresh table with animations? -

i cannot seem find laid out anywhere.

i have search box (though it's using uitextview, not search box/controller).

as user types in words, want update 'suggestions' in table view below pulled core data. these displayed in table below using typical nsfrc setup.

after user types (and delay of .5s) update fetch request predicate text, , phone call performfetch again.

what want new results animate in, see nsfrc, of course of study leaving existing matching rows in place. way these update calling reloaddata on table.

is there way i'm after here?
