i have problem info returned core reporting api. used http://ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/explorer/ tool data. metric = ga:visitors when tried info period - "2013-01-30" - "2013-02-06" got "2306" ga:visitors. after tried info period "2013-01-31" - "2013-02-06" - got "2368" ga:visitors. smaller period bigger value?? after added ga:date dimension , aggregated "2013-01-30" - "2013-02-06" results myself got "3024" in total... did had same problem?

you cannot pass time-based dimensions (ga:date, ga:day, ga:week, etc), , cannot add together row totals yourself. because sum of daily or weekly unique visitors not same thing number of unique visitors start end of start-date , end-date.

also, omit segment, unless need special 1 (such mobile visits or search visits). is, passing segment=gaid::-1 results in values not visible in ui.

pass start-date, end-date , metric ga:visitors , should see in ui.
