payment processing - Does Google Wallet offer an API for generating Virtual OneTime Cards for use by 3rd party commerce platforms? -
a client of mine has interesting utilize case:
enabling consumers issued temporary one-time utilize debit card number purchasing goods on 3rd party retailers. think pinterest shopping, enabling 1 ping goods 3rd party retailers, , have digital wallet purpose of purchasing pinned goods. the key 3rd party retailer not implement existing wallet solution, google wallet. think luxury goods.
it seems google wallet sort of, kind of, enables such utilize case via virtual onetime cards. however, not find indication of api endpoints work sort of this:
issue post wallet.google.com/virtual_card client data, 16-digit debit card number, may used client purchase items on 3rd party retailer sites.
it seems amex serve has kind of beta programme in works: http://techcrunch.com/2011/10/09/american-express-to-release-an-api-for-digital-wallet-platform-serve-focuses-on-data-and-personalization/
visa has v.me.
of course, doesn't seem of these services have apis issuing temporary debit cards.
