visual studio 2012 - VS2012- Prebuild Event Failed -

in vs2012. set prebuild event following.

md "$(targetdir)strings"

it works fine first time , creates directory. after that. when ever building showing error :

error 1 error msb3073: command "md "c:\fit\tech\programmer365\projects\sdr\debug\strings" :vcend" exited code 1. c:\program files (x86)\msbuild\microsoft.cpp\v4.0\v110\microsoft.cppcommon.targets 124 5 sdr-ui

any help appreciated.

once created directory, trying create 1 time again fail. msbuild can't distinguish failed because directory exists (as opposed not beingness able write location or similar), build fails.

you need conditional creation of directory. have here see how can done: create folder batch if doesn't aready exist
