OpenLayers ExportMap control doesn't work -

trying implement this example render image canvas. maintain getting "uncaught referenceerror: exportmap not defined" line:

exportmapcontrol = new openlayers.control.exportmap();

tested in v2.11 , 2.12. no exportmap() command exists. has functionality been eliminated?

looks exportmap command created part of testing how html5 works openlayers , of 2.12 not yet tested & deployed feature. source.
