ruby on rails - can't install rmagick on mac lion -

when seek install rmagick maintain coming error:

error: http://rubygems.org/does not appear repository error: not find gem rmagick locally or in repository

another question how can check has rmagick installed or not seek rmagick -v command not found.

we used rmagick far long, project unmaintained, switch minimagick before late.

the big issue here, rmagick isn't compatible newer imagemagick.

they found take over, @ github. 90% of files havent been touched in 5 years.

i have installed on machine

the steps took were

brew install imagemagick gem install rmagick

however year ago, collegue could'nt working lastly week updated image magick, see on github may have fixed issue, best of luck. remember fumbling arround using non llvm version of gcc compile it. sense out of scope of question.
