How do I compile a Perl module on Windows with Strawberry? -

this more open give-and-take , conclusion real question, hoping can help sometime.

i looking on how create perl module on net disconnected server (otherwise reply quite simple: utilize cpan), alternative have manually compile modules downloaded net (cpan or others) straight on server.

the problem that, on standard windows server, there no compiler. how create modules?

if in strawberry perl installation folder see number of useful utilities, including compilers cpp.exe, c++.exe, gcc.exe , create utilities gmake.exe , dmake.exe.

dmake , gcc back upwards utilize of cpan on installation, , cpanm available well.

for info on general process of installing module, take @ perlmodinstall

windows perl compilation perl-module strawberry-perl
