What means "distributed" in NoSQL definition? -
nosql definition: next generation databases addressing of points: beingness non-relational, distributed, open-source , horizontally scalable.
is horizontally scalable same thing(or include) distributed? if not, means?
nosql systems employ distributed architecture, info held in redundant manner on several servers. in way, scheme can scale out adding more servers, , failure of server can tolerated.
horizontal scalability ability increment speed or availability of server adding more servers, typically using clustering , load balancing.
so yes both similar terms. horizontal scalability increases distributed architecture.
data replication if same info stored on multiple storage devices
schema free: in oracle define table construction first , insert/delete info thats not case schema free.no schema migrations. code defines schema. no more alter table statements.
