magento import product to default category -

i using amartinez custom import/export extension. trying insert magento 1.6.2 list of products through .csv file. can insert categories fine, problem products don't added in "default category", in subcategories of default category. have searched can set that, havn't found yet.

i've tried adding "default category" in csv, on new row, , when ran cron, said new category called "default category" created, can't see anywhere in categories, , product still in same categories before. help appreciated.

check see if default category set anchor, under catalog > manage categories > select default category , click display settings tab...it's 3rd dropdown alter yes.
