git - fatal: fetch-pack: unable to fork off sideband demultiplexer -

we're working on clients magento website @ moment. we've been developing updates on http://dev.theirwebsite.com , using git track commits etc. got stage today when happy set of changes live onto production website.

we went root folder of site via ssh , ran 'git pull' command pull in master file (git pull 'origin' master) got next error back:

error: cannot create thread: resource temporarily unavailable fatal: fetch-pack: unable fork off sideband demultiplexer

i've been looking day ways prepare this. clarify, dev.theirdomain.com works git pull, production site (even though it's on same server) doesn't...

does have solutions on how able prepare this?

any help much appreciated!

your scheme out of resources -this why rebooting worked you.

just maintain eye on running processes , kill 1 thats hogging memory , won't need reboot next time happens.
