understanding \ modifying Oracle Text IDF (inverse document frequency) scoring -

oracle text uses variation of idf scoring. exact algorithm isn't documented.

in scenario score appears different score when computing idf manually

i'd understand how oracle computes score, , perchance modify it.

is there methods modify scoring algorithm?

it appears table dr$indexname$i contains term frequency in token_count field - correct?

is construction of dr$ tables documented?

you might able modify scoring algorithm using query template, e.g.:

select id docs contains (text, '<query> <textquery grammar="context" lang="english"> mustang </textquery> <score datatype="float" algorithm="default" normalization_expr =Ódoc_score+sdata(price)Ó/> </query>')>0"

not much more info here 4.1.17 alternative , user-defined scoring
