i'm having problem writing exponential numbers file. if set output in form e20.8 , have numbers in range e-99 e+99, i'm fine. when seek output number less e-99, such 1.23456e-100, 1.23456000-100 instead (dropping e, zeros because of e20*.8*). problematic post-processing.

any suggestions fix? there parameter ew.d format size of exponential?

i wasn't persistent plenty in searching: total output format ew.d followed "e" , number of spaces leave exponential. in case, e20.8e3 worked great. answer, future reference, here: http://www.hicest.com/format.htm
