i trying build chat application in ios. came across xmpp ios. bit confused on how move forward. here doubts:

do need create xmpp server implement application? or there existing servers/services can used same purpose?

yes, xmpp library found above perfect integrate chat in ios devices. coming questions .

ideally yes, should create own xmpp server have command on plus there security issue. popular xmpp server ejabberd. ejabber awesome :) its not must need setup own xmpp server. can utilize open-source xmpp servers. depending on use-case can decide.
