im using rdlc vs 2010 , exporting graph word document gives 1 blank page (its not showing in pdf though). of dimensions in report, chart , body set 11x8.5 no margins. wonder causing blank page in word.

i having exact same problem , managed solve adjusting layout of report.

basically moved of rectangles/tables etc sit down tightly next each other, eliminating white space possible , resized study little possible, i.e. sit down tightly against contents.

it might worth enabling study alternative 'consumecontainerwhitespace'.

i suspect word uses own pagination logic, why see difference between pdf , doc. may case study over-running next page , saving little space on study may prevent this.

i realise not precise answer, hope helps nonetheless.
