what advantages / disadvantages of using perl develop android applications instead of java?

disadvantages:

anyone using app have download perl. while might able bundle nicely (this goal of perl on android project, , i'm not sure how far has come), still create filesize lot bigger. i don't have personal experience it, distance looks still highly experimental.

i'm huge fan of perl (and don't know java), if considering android app development, don't think consider serious option.
